That wierd time

Well ladies and gentlemen, its that common wierd time between November 1st and November 3rd, commonly known as November 2nd. At about 6 o'clock tonight it will be officially 6 months since i gave up caffeine. 6 months! 24 Weeks! HALF A YEAR! Wow. It's been a while. Anyway, i found it quite interesting to look at the NHL standings..to think wht would happen if the playoffs started Today. Here's what i gathered:

If the playoffs started today...
1. The first team in the Southeast WOULDNT be 3rd in the East. They'd be Second
2. Philadelphia AND New Jersey would BOTH miss the playoffs for the first time in a LONG time
3. 3 teams in the Southeast would squeeze into the postseason..thats a first for a while
4. 4 teams in the Northeast would make it to the postseason (Montreal, Ottawa, Buffalo and Toronto) which goes to prove how strong this division really is.
5. Montreal would be first in the east. Never thought i'd say that.
6. And finally, for the first time in recent history 2 of the recent expansion teams (Nashville and Minnesota) would both make the playoffs.

Oh how its a wierd month. Hockeys back and in full swing. Also, it's interesting to note that a whopping 16 teams have less Goals for than they do goals against. That's over HALF the league. How pathetic. Scoring is up sure, but goaltending is also down.

COME ON A YA HA!!!!!
