Remember what grandpa told you..

Ok, so camp is almost over. I dono how i feel about that. What i do know is how i feel about a camper from last week named Seamus. Interesting name, i think i know someone who is a fan of that name. Anyway. Last week on Sunday, activity 2, Seamus gets up on the wall. Now, for a good 15 or so minutes seamus is basically in the same spot on the wall. Not only that but he was full out talking to himself throughout his little excursion. Everything from, where to now Seamus? Or rest up your legs seamus we can keep climbing in a minute. But by far the most priceless comment he said was Alright now, remember what grandpa told you seamus. I couldn't help but burst out laughing. Here's a kid totally narrating his climb up the rock wall in the 3rd person, not realising that we're all laughing at him. So all throughout this little episode i cant help but think how silly this little kid sounded, and i couldnt help laugh at him in a mocking way. Not out loud, but still. Anyway, so i didn't really think about Seamus again until friday night. Spidey got up for open mic time and talked about how he was sitting at campfire with another one of his campers who just happened to pick on seamus. And he was trying to explain God's love to i guess a 9 year old, or so. I dont know. And Seamus made the kid turn around and explained how Jesus died for him and how God sent his only son to die for him. And i felt this immense guilt at the bottom of my stomach for eve rlaughing or making any jokes about seamus, because deep down this kid had a bigger heart than most adults i know. So yea, it's amazing how God works in people like seamus. I guess you could say that day i really needed a laugh, but then that campfire night on Wednesday, that kid who picked on Seamus really needed a friend.
Thanks, Seamus.
